Terminal Building Upgrade and Emergency Generator

The existing terminal building dates back to the early 1940’s and in spite of several building additions/remodels was congested due to lack of space, increased passenger traffic and the addition of TSA baggage screening equipment. The entire building also lacked emergency generator support that would ensure continued functions during a power outage.

A State/Locally funded project was implemented providing an addition at the front of the building, the installation of new ticketing counters, relocation of the TSA baggage screening equipment, new ceiling lighting and installation of a 130 kw backup generator.

The project was split into two separate bid packages since the work covered two unrelated areas of the terminal building.
