Vista West Engineering can offer an exciting career opportunity for the recent graduate. We regularly recruit civil engineering graduates from the University of Wyoming, Montana State University and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. We’ve created an internal mentoring and training program that allows intern engineers to quickly become a productive and valuable addition to our organization. It’s our belief that graduation from college is just the beginning of a life long learning experience and that our new intern engineers will become our future leaders.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Vista West Engineering is committed to properly training all of our staff to assure the firm continues its high level of quality service, as well as allowing individuals to optimize their careers. Training begins on the technical side soon after the date of hire and is tailored to individual needs. As careers advance, training begins to change from technical programs to more of a business and management focus. This includes foundation courses for leadership development, interpersonal skills, presentation speaking skills and business skills. Whenever possible, this training also supports the professional development process for engineers with continuing education licensing requirements. Overall financial support is provided through proper budgeting of costs for continuing education course fees and time away from our projects.

ENGINEERING POSITIONS

At Vista West Engineering, we employ a variety of staff ranging from Interns and support staff to Registered Professional Engineers. Typical positions range from entry level Intern Engineers to Design Engineers, Project Engineers and Project Managers, depending on the level of experience.
