Meadowlark Elementary School

The new Meadowlark Elementary School will be completed in the summer of 2012. It will replace the old Meadowlark Elementary School that was once located on the same site, on the western side of Sheridan. Surrounding the new 54,730 square foot, two-story building will be new sidewalk and landscaping, staff and visitor parking lots, a separate bus loop, and play fields. Extensive measures were taken to improve the drainage characteristics of the old site, including raising the elevation of the first floor of the new building by 1.5’ (as compared to the old building) and providing new catch basin/pipe systems and open drainage swales with riprap.
