Sheridan County Airport GIS

Sheridan County Airport wanted to take advantage of the GIS database to manage its vast amount of information. Vista West Engineering is creating a GIS that will feature data on their airfield electrical circuits, lights, and signs, in addition to managing the airport leased buildings and hangars. Identifying tenant names, links to the lease associated with each building, square footage, size of doors and general layout of each hangar and building will be included.

Future plans will expand the GIS database to include information on additional facilities as well as agricultural land that spreads across the airport’s 1,550 acres. Vista West will utilize GIS to store data on the business leases, airfield lighting, fuel farm, pavement conditions and more. We will continue to work closely with the airport to analyze their needs, provide guidance and training, and offer solutions for their geospatial data management.
