Due to the inadequate size and location of the original facility, there was an immediate need for a new station. The new facility includes a 11,200 square foot fire station as well as parking located at the Sheridan County Airport Business Park with a great view of the Big Horn Mountains.  The site was graded to also allow for a future fire training tower and was also graded to allow for a walking path to be placed around the back side of the site so pedestrians could walk throughout the business park.
